How to choose a good water kettle? (Part one)

4/23/2011 According to my experience of buying different water kettles, I would like to give out some tips:
1. Pay significant attention to the material of the kettle.
To begin with, it’s a clever choice to choose the water kettle, which is made of high-quality stainless steel. High-quality stainless steel contains 72% purified steel, 18% chromium and 10% nickel. As one of the concrete materials, it can prevent the water kettle from any oily dirt furred because there aren’t little holes within the appearance of the kettle. Additionally, this healthy material is acid-proof alkaline and anti-corrosive. Human beings, obviously, benefit from these characteristics.
2. The shape of water kettle will be an influential factor.
Nowadays, there are two different shapes of water kettle, one is ball-shaped, and the other is domed. Broadly speaking, the domed one is much more preferred as it can get resources saving with a wider bottom.
3. Don't miss the bottom of water kettle.
It's clear that the shapes of the kettle will lead to two different bottoms. The thinner the bottom is, the faster the water will come to boil. For the ball-shaped one, its bottom is much thinner; therefore, the water will boil swiftly. However, the lifespan of the water kettle will be shorter.
In comparison, the domed one with a thicker bottom will be a plus. Usually the bottoms of these kettles will have slots, which can prevent the kettle body out of fire and discolor. Although the boiling time will be a little longer, it is worthy of waiting.
With a thicker bottom, the water kettle can be widely used for various electrical appliances. Moreover, its lifespan can be up to 10 years.
4. How about the capacity of water kettle?
Commonly, for the ordinary family, merely a 3L one is enough. But we should pay attention to the height of spout. To say it in details, with a lower spout, the maximum capacity will be reduced. Likewise, the lower the spout, the less water can be inside. For instance, when you happily choose a 3L water kettle, but go back home and eventually find out that it can't contain as much water as usual. At that moment, it will be as the saying goes, "It's no use crying over spilt milk". So, we should learn more about the buying tips to avoid making the wrong decision.
